Terms of Service — Animus Project

Section 1: Object, Acceptance & License of Use

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using any software, platform, application, or service provided by Animus Project LLC—including Animus Project (animusproject.org), Animus (animus.animusproject.org), Animus Remnant (remnant.animusproject.org), and Animus Resonance (resonance.animusproject.org)—you enter into a legally binding agreement to be governed by these Terms of Service.

License Grant: Animus Project LLC grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the applications strictly for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Section 2: Prohibited Conduct (Anti-Bots, Anti-Sybil, Scraping & Security)

To preserve the statistical integrity of human consensus and ensure a secure, unmanipulated public square, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

  1. Automated Scripts & Bot Manipulation: Deploying bots, automated scripts, headless browsers, or programmatic macros to submit dilemma responses, manipulate vote distributions, or harvest reciprocity credits is strictly forbidden.
  2. Sybil & Coordinated Manipulation Attacks: Creating multiple artificial identities or orchestrating coordinated voting clusters to distort community consensus is grounds for immediate, permanent termination.
  3. Data Scraping & Extraction: Crawling, scraping, harvesting, or extracting consensus data, knowledge graphs, or user entries via automated tools without explicit prior written authorization from Animus Project LLC is prohibited.
  4. Security Compromise & Reverse Engineering: Probing, scanning, reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to breach the cryptographic protections, API endpoints, or database structures of the platforms is strictly illegal.

Section 3: Intellectual Property & Trademark Notice

Registered Trademarks:

  • ANIMUS™, RESONANCE™, and REMNANT™ are trademarks and service marks of Animus Project LLC.
  • All brand marks, trade dress, slogans, graphic interfaces, iconography, and typographic assets are the exclusive intellectual property of Animus Project LLC.

System Architecture:

  • The Animus consensus graph, semantic deduplication pipeline, property graph schemas, neural interfaces, and client codebase are owned by Animus Project LLC.
  • Anonymous, aggregate sociological consensus distributions are shared openly in service of collective human progress and scientific knowledge.

User Sovereignty & Personal Ownership:

  • You retain 100% moral, legal, and intellectual ownership over your personal voice recordings, life memories, private journal reflections, and personal persona graphs generated within the applications.

Section 4: Operational Rules by Application

4.1. Animus: Reciprocity ("Give to Ask")

  • Participation in Animus is 100% free and founded on strict reciprocity.
  • Users earn participation credits by answering community dilemmas and spend those credits to post their own inquiries or boost reach across demographic slices.
  • Attempting to exploit, game, or artificially inflate credit balances using automated scripts or bot farms is grounds for permanent expulsion.

4.2. Animus Remnant: Ethical AI & Likeness Ownership

  • Remnant is engineered for personal productivity, memory preservation, ethical digital assistance, and family legacy.
  • Strict Prohibition on Non-Consensual Voice Cloning: You agree that you will never upload audio samples, clone the voice, or synthesize the likeness of any third-party individual without their explicit, verifiable, informed written consent.
  • You will not employ Jarvis system automation tools to distribute malware, conduct unauthorized network intrusions, or violate computer security laws.

4.3. Animus Resonance: Multidimensional Human Connection

  • Age Eligibility: Resonance is restricted strictly to individuals aged 18 years or older.
  • Purpose: Resonance provides genuine cognitive matching for multidimensional human connection: finding like-minded friends in your city or across the globe, project collaborators, startup co-founders, gaming partners, travel connections, and romantic partners.
  • Code of Conduct: You agree to treat matched peers with dignity, respect, and empathy. Harassment, stalking, intimidation, non-consensual sexual exploitation, hate speech, or malicious deception will result in immediate, irreversible expulsion from the Resonance pool.

Section 5: "As-Is" Provision, Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

  • "As Is" Provision: All applications, algorithms, neural models, and graph networks across the platforms are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • No Substitute for Professional Judgment: Animus Remnant personas represent probabilistic reasoning approximations and do not constitute formal legal, financial, psychiatric, or medical advice.
  • Human Connection Disclaimer: While Animus Resonance measures mathematical cognitive alignment, human relationships rely on character, emotional maturity, and personal responsibility. Animus Project LLC is not liable for interpersonal interactions, meetings, or outcomes between matched individuals.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Animus Project LLC, its founders, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use any part of the platforms.

Section 6: Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of or related to Animus Project shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, USA.
